The First Acrobat.com Podcast!

June 24th, 2008

I got together recently with Tad Staley – Acrobat.com Product Evangelist – to record a conversation on Buzzword and Acrobat.com. We thought that delivering regular 30 minute podcasts might be another useful way to get caught up with what we’re doing with Acrobat.com – good for long commutes, or working out on a treadmill.

The podcast can be heard or downloaded here.

We hope to continue doing this on a regular basis, and by next week we should have an RSS feed set up so you can subscribe in iTunes or your favorite podcast downloader.

Here’s a summary of what we talked about.

    I tried it today and posted my review onto the blog http://www.workcloud.wordpress.com Overall, very slick and intuitive interface. Easy to collaborate with others. but a crowded space. Lots of problems inserting images, it crashed 4 times, sorry to say. And the big question, how does it integrate and how does it make us more productive?

    Any chance the Buzzword editor/display could replace Flex’s RichTextEditor component and become available for embedding?

    Many sites use WYSIWYG HTML editors to create rich content. This is a pain to do in Flex since Flash doesn’t have a full HTML rendering engine (and it shouldn’t have to reproduce the browser it’s running in.) But all these WYSIWYG HTML editors are just trying to reproduce Word functionality, which Buzzword does in a beautifully simple way.

    I would kill to have a tag.

    @David Frankson

    It stripped my tag out since I used triangle brackets, but was trying to ask for a mx:BuzzwordCanvas tag :)
