360Flex Speakers List Released!

(Updated 5/17/07 with correct URL for Mike Morearty’s blog.)

The 360Flex blog has just posted the list of speakers and their sessions for the upcoming 360Flex conference this August in Seattle. When I go to a conference I try to pick sessions based in part on which topics interest me but also on which speakers I think are going to be entertaining and engaging. When I look down this list I think, wow, is this conference going to be fun.

Joe Berkovitz is a polished, thoughtful speaker who really knows Flex and object oriented design. Renaun Erickson is a frequent blogger who was one of my first readers and gave me some much-appreciate initial encouragement. Mike Morearty is a member of the Flex team who has been very helpful to us and who gives a great “debugger secrets” talk. Matt Chotin wins the prize for most accessible product manager of any software product anywhere. And these are just a few of the speakers that I know a little bit about or have heard before.

The one talk I’m a little unsure about is the one given by that guy David Coletta. He doesn’t have much experience with public speaking and I’m not sure he can tell a joke. It’s a good thing that Buzzword is an interesting topic or he’d be in trouble.

I don’t know anything more than what I read on the 360Flex blog, which is that they tried but it didn’t work out. I bet you could email those guys and get more of the story.
